Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy ESWT
Shockwave Therapy (also known as ESWT) is an all-natural and clinically proven treatment that utilizes high-frequency shockwaves to enhance male sexual performance and function, and promote overall health. ShockWave Therapy is the only non-surgical procedure that address the root cause of erectile dysfunction in men, and serves to increase blood flow by releasing growth factors in the tissue, which dissolve micro-plaque in the penis and form new blood vessels.
ShockWaves are acoustic waves that carry high energy to painful spots and myo-skeletal tissues with subacute, sub-chronic and chronic conditions. The energy created by the acoustic waves promotes reparative processes and rejuvenation in tendons, bones and other soft tissues.
ShockWave Therapy can often be applied to specific conditions such as inflammation or injury of the patellar tendon—which can interfere with with daily activities and be difficult to treat, regardless of age. ShockWave therapy offers a quick fix, with many patients experiencing relief with several treatments. Tennis elbow is another frequent condition, occurring in as many as 10% of the general population. With a successful treatment rate of over 70% with a maximum of 5 treatments, ShockWave can be considered a prompt source of relief for this condition as well, alongside others that include hip pain, shoulder pain, plantar fasciitis, and more. Inflammation of the tendon, as well as cellular damage can both be successfully relieved with ShockWave therapy. Ideally, the number of sessions to relieve conditions like chronic tendinopathy and general microtraumas is 3-5, with as few as 5-10 days in between.
Many patients do experience alleviation of any symptoms, pain or discomfort immediately following their first treatment. Realistically, within 2-4 hours after the treatment, some soreness may be in the treatment area. The soreness is often described as being tolerable, if noticeable, and not at all debilitating. However, the number of ShockWave treatments needed to experience lasting results often vary from patient to patient. Typically, the outcome of the treatments is collective, and more than one may be needed (perhaps 3-5). The intensity of the acoustic waves can be adjusted throughout each session for maximum results.
